My Favorite Las Vegas Hotel
There are hundreds of hotels in Las Vegas so choosing your favourite can be a challenge. Obviously the choice is going to come down to personal tastes one person may love a hotel while another person may hate it. Since the only thing that I can base this decision on is my own tastes that is what it will reflect.
So out of all the choices that are available what is my favourite Las Vegas hotel?
Of all the hotels in Las Vegas I would have to say that my favorite is the Golden Nugget Hotel. Obviously this is largely down to personal taste but I am not really a huge fan of the theme rooms that are so common in Las Vegas. If that is the sort of thing that you like in a hotel then there are lots of theme to choose from and many of them are very good. Personally I am not a big fan of them. I actually appreciate the fact that the Golden Nugget is more like a traditional Las Vegas hotel rather than one of the new style ones that are being built everywhere. Even the Golden Nugget has moved away from the traditional look of a Las Vegas hotel but it is a lot closer than most of the others.
I also like the fact that the Golden Nugget isn’t located on the strip but is downtown instead on Fremont Street. The strip is a lot of fun to spend some time on but it can get really wearing after awhile. Having a room that is located away from the bustle of the strip is a huge help in getting away from the crowds and the parties. Again this is a personal opinion; many people love the party scene on the strip and will never go anywhere else during the whole stay. That is certainly an option but for those of us who need time to recharge a room downtown makes a lot more sense.
Of course the quality of the rooms and services is second to none. They have recently opened a new tower which can compete with any of the Las Vegas Hotels in terms of quality. They also have outstanding dining options including one of the best buffets in Las Vegas. The pool is great and the new waterslide is a major attraction. All of this is available at a very reasonable price, much better than you would get on the strip.
Perhaps the best thing that the Golden Nugget has to offer is that it has one of the best casinos in town. Not only that but the casino is normally not all that busy since most people tend to head over to the strip to do their gambling. That means that you can play in reasonable comfort without having to deal with the huge crowds that you would have to deal with in other casinos.
